Gideon was founded in 1998. We serve the diocese by providing a televised mass to serve those who are homebound or on infirmity for whatever reason. The mass airs on local stations throughout the diocese and surrounding areas. The TV Mass can be viewed on WEHTChannel 25, a ABC affiliate out of Henderson, KY as well as UPN affiliate WQWQ, UPN the Beat, out of Cape Girardeau, Missouri. It can be seen on Insight Cable's Religious Access channel in Bowling Green, Kenutcky and Time Warner Cable 52 in Owensboro. Check your local listings for air times. Mission Statement
In particular, we hope to bring by means of an inspiring televised Catholic Mass, the ever growing number of homebound brothers and sisters back into the mainstream life of the Church. The story of Gideon teaches us that God can do a lot with very little. |

In the spirit of Gideon in the Book of Judges in the Old Testament, we have as our mission to spread the message of the Gospel through the gifts of technology available to us today.
I am proud to lend my support to the outstanding work that is taking place at Gideon Productions. I think the Church should use this powerful form of communication and witness. We are taking a dramatic step (as a diocese) in our own financial investment of their work, and our hope is that others will give them the same financial consideration. It is truly an important step for the Church, and I would like to extend an invitation to anyone interested to come and see the work that is being produced.
